An Evening with Patty Hahn & General Membership Meeting

Wednesday, June 4, 2008, 7:00 p.m.

SWING conducted their quarterly membership meeting on the above date at the Steamfitters' Hall, 1220 Donald Bailey Drive, Caseyville, Illinois. After conducting the general business, our special guest, Patty Hahn joined us to talk about her campaign and her experiences.  Patty Hahn is the Democratic candidate for State Representative in the 107th District (seat formerly held by Kurt Granberg who is not runningfor re-election.)  Patty won a fiercely contested primary election to become the first woman to seek this office.  She is currently the Marion County Treasurer and has spent her entire adult life active in the Democratice Party in Southern Illinois.  Our fundraising chair, Kim Hess, advised Patty that we were willing to help in any way we could to assist her campaign. Several options were discussed -- among them a fundraiser in St. Clair County which is in the planning stages.
